Steps to Good Care
- After 2 hours, remove your bandage
- Wash your tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap
- Apply ointment at least 5 times a day, whenever your tattoo feels dry. We recommend Aquaphor ointment. Use ointment on your tattoo for 7-10 days
- Bandage your tattoo with saran wrap at bedtime the first 2 nights
- Avoid scratching or picking at the tattoo while it's peeling. Avoid getting the area dirty or contaminated with makeup or hair care products. Do not touch the tattoo with dirty hands. Basically, use good common sense!
- Do not soak the tattoo area or go swimming
- Avoid direct sunlight or tanning while your tattoo is healing to keep the color true
Tattoo Disclaimer
If your tattoo is not taken care of, the life of your tattoo will be shortened. The care of your tattoo will affect whether or not you will need a touch-up. If touch-ups are needed, prices on touch-ups are based on the care of your tattoo and that will be determined by the artist once the tattoo is completely healed (about 1 month). To schedule a touch-up, you MUST come in the studio and have the artist give you an evaluation.
